Last week, I came across another website that carries eco natural products for the home. That was good news for me as I am always on the lookout for new products, brands and information on the eco friendly movement.
I have been using natural cleaning products for the home and personally, I enjoy the peace of mind of using products that are free from those harsh and harmful chemicals. This matters to me as I have a little child at home who is prone to allergies and using eco friendly and natural products prevents toxicity and the inhaling of these chemicals present in the products. All natural home and laundry products are safe and effective alternatives to petroleum based ingredients found in name brand detergents. Choose those that are free from artificial fragrances and color brightening chemicals.

Whether you are looking for natural products for your vehicles, natural cleaning products for your home, furniture and even your ps3, natural laundry detergents, all natural dishwashing cleaners, essential carrier oils, you can find the answers to your needs by clicking on the banner above.
2010 is here! What have you set your mind to achieve this year? To practice eco living or to begin this path if you haven’t even started at all. Yesterday I read in the local papers that few supermarkets have begun their eco friendly campaign by having ‘no plastic’ days. The intention of this move is sure good but the companies have not done enough to inform their customers which led to many frustrated faces.
‘No plastic’ days are becoming popular among retailers too though some customers still feel that it won’t be fair to tuck their purchases in their own bags when they had paid lots of money for them. It takes a long while to educate customers to practice eco friendly principles when they are not accustomed to this awareness. My uncle went to buy some discount cigars and he expected them to be packed nicely in a bag. He would be upset if they told him that there wasn’t any packaging for them. Some retailers start to use recycled wrapping papers for their customers which are good options to promote green living.
This year, we hope to continue our green living journey. For a start, we have begun using fruit enzyme for our household cleaning instead of harmful detergents. It takes some efforts and time to walk this journey but the results bring inner satisfaction as we become more socially responsible.
As a person becomes more involved in the care of the envrionment, the individual tends to become more conscious and aware of what he or she utilizes tfor her living space, including her garden which can affect the environment and the plants being grown. Consequently, many people are turning to organic gardening practices, adding on to their eco living principles.
Organic gardening practices actually have been around and utilized by people since certain ancient tribes gave up hunting and gathering and settled down to grow their own crops and to maintain their own domesticated animals. In their most basic form, organic gardening practices consists of the use of naturally occuring materials (organic materials) in the care and treatment of a garden patch — vegetable or floral. No man made chemicals or any type are utilized in true organic gardening regimens. This supports the philosophy of eco living in a large way. Even for your living spaces, you can turn to organic products or homemade cleaning options. Instead of using chemical sprays on your Kettlebells and exercise equipment, mix a solution of white distilled vinegar and water instead.
When it comes to providing nutrients for an organic gardening, two resources normally are used: compost and manure. Likewise, when it comes to cleaning the house or the issue of pest control, natural steps are taken to tackleoffensive bugs and insects. In this regard, benign insects that do not damage plants but who prey upon bugs that harm foilage are placed in a garden to handle the infestation problem or situation.
It’s that time of the year again. I’m hearing much about travel, holidays and vacations and these days, holiday makers are also talking about eco travel too.
Eco travel is still new to many. For those who are adventurous, camping and trekking are great ways to travel responsibly. Slow travel is another popular option for people to get to know the locals in the country they are visiting. Taking your time and not rushing around. If possible, stay in a bed and breakfast establishment and not the big chain hotels. Eco travel can take you places, from beaches to urban cities, as long as you keep in mind eco principles like using the right transport and embracing your green living principles. That doesn’t mean you can discard your cheap insurance – you still need to ensure that you are well covered, especially in certain remote destinations.
For me, eco travel is a fairly new thing and I am still finding out how to make it possible when doing so as a family. It will require efforts and certain responsible steps to take. But it will be a refreshing experience for both the traveler and the environment.
Embracing eco natural principles for the house require understanding of what is found in our household cleaning products. Do you know that most traditional household cleaning products contain a variety of potentially harmful chemicals?
In response to the growing concern about the chemicals in cleaning products and their adverse effects on our health and on the health of our planet, green cleaning products are being touted. Some companies that make green products ban certain chemicals, and others make it a point to fully disclose all ingredients on labels. Some eco friendly users believe that it is possible to have a clean home without using any cleaning products at all. Cleaning without products may take a bit more elbow grease, but water alone will do the trick.
For the environmentally conscious, one of the best cleaning tools is a cloth – some would say the ultimate cloth – that uses mirafiber to produce a streak free, spot free, lint free, and dust free finish. Using this type of cloth means that you don’t have to use paper towels, which add to the waste that negatively impacts the environment. Moreover, this ultimate cloth is usually guaranteed to last five years, making it decidedly eco natural. Because it’s washable and bleachable, it can be used over and over again on virtually any surface, from windows and glass to stainless steel to wrought iron candle sconces. Basically, you just wet it, wring it, wipe your surface, and walk away. This ultimate cloth saves time, saves money, and, most importantly, helps save the earth.
Last weekend, I was away for a short trip and took the opportunity to check out some eco living books in the bookstore.
These days, there are more eco living books being written and it is nice to capture creative ideas of how to incorporate green living to our homes. Instead of buying brand new furniture, eco homeowners are choosing used furniture or discount furniture for their homes, as long as they give it an added touch for a nicer finish. Recycled furniture is great and help to save the trees and this is one simple way to promote eco living!
You may have read that more retailers are following eco living and green living practices by encouraging shoppers to bring their own bag or use a recycled bag.
You don’t need to be rich and famous to practice eco living. All it takes is a will and desire to do your bit for Mother Earth. I am practical when it comes to eco living. I use recycled containers and boxes as long as they are safe and clean for use. While speaking to a friend who is a paternity test nurse, she was sharing with me on how her children would use used tissue paper boxes for art and crafts. It is inspiring to learn about children acquiring their knowledge in eco living at a young age. My son used to come home with crafts on recycled paper plates, cups…etc.
I am only hoping that organic bedding and organic cotton prices will be reduced so that more people can be involved in eco living and be supporters of organic products for the good of our Mother Earth.
While shopping in the mall yesterday, I spotted an eco living promotion at a counter.
It was good to note that more people are becoming more environmentally friendly and they are doing their bit for the earth. Green living requires dedication, commitment and conscious effort. It takes sacrifice and the courage to be different.
Even in our own homes, we are changing our led lighting to eco friendly ones. We started practicing eco living a year ago and other than seeing a cleaner home, we are also feeling happy about doing our part.
I am hoping that I can also embark on green living when we move down under in a year’s time. I’ve always want to grow our own vegetables and fruits and I believe this is one way to practice green living.
How are you doing your bit for an eco living home.
As I continue my research on eco living and green living, I noticed that there is a growing demand on eco living products and natural products by families with children.
More parents prefer natural wellness products and eco friendly household products compared to using products with harsh and harmful chemicals. As demand grows, the price for these eco living products will decrease and that’s a good thing. I just had a conversation with a friend who sells Ferrari parts and she was telling me how the use of organic wellness oils was helping with her eczema and acne conditions. She had also started to use biodegradable household products and her allergies are improving gradually.
Personally, I would also recommend the use of organic wellness oils for children since they are natural and organic. My favorite online store for organic wellness oils happen to be one that sells affordable natural products too. Find out the range of organic healing and wellness oils available by following this link. Free Shipping for all orders over $35 at NaturesInventory.com!
Somehow or rather, people who practice eco living tend to choose natural and alternative therapies over chemical drug treatments when it comes to health matters.
For instance, eco living enthusiasts will prefer natural healing products to treat acne as opposed to using chemical creams. It is possible to get natural acne treatment with today’s range of quality natural and organic skincare products. Looking for the right acne treatments can be mind boggling with so many various acne products on the retail shelves.
For natural healing to work, you need to cooperate with your body by eating the right foods and leading a healthy lifestyle too. Green living is not just about paying special attention to mother earth but caring for our homes and our health as well – naturally.
