That time of the year is coming and I am shopping for a wedding anniversary gift for my other half. We’ve been married for 10 years – time really flies! My hubby isn’t crazy about eco friendly stuff even though I have been sharing with him the many benefits of being friendly to the environment. But he’s the one who always reminds me not to use too many plastic bags!

Since, I have been carrying groceries in my own eco bag whenever we are out shopping. He got very disturbed after watching a documentary about the ‘dying earth’. However he knows that changing to an eco lifestyle would take some time, it comes from a conviction within. I was just checking out some mens ties online and was hoping to find an eco friendly one. I have come across some cool ones that are made of recyclable material some time back but never thought I would need them so soon! Now I’ve got to start searching online.

As I strolled pass the stores in the mall this afternoon, I was impressed with the Christmas decorations and glittering lights coming from the white lit trees and colourful bells. In less than two weeks’ time, Christmas is here! For those who are hosting parties, try to use washable cutlery instead of disposable ones! And those who are shopping for gifts, choose eco gifts for the good of Mother Earth!

Though I’m not one of those who host parties every Christmas, I make it a point to gather few friends for a nice lunch or dinner. What is nice is the time where everyone starts to exchange gifts – it is a nice and memorable gesture. I told hubby I would like a set of equestrian apparel and I am just not sure if he is granting me my wish! The excitement in me grew as I start to shop for gifts for my mom who is a home-proud person. She can spend hours just decorating the house and this Christmas, I am thinking about an eco gift that is ideal for her home decorating passion.
