It’s third weekend of the New Year and I am really glad it’s here. This weekend, I intend to go shopping for some eco friendly cleaning agents for the house while waiting for the fruit enzyme cleaning solution to be ready.
Some of my friends are heading to Vegas for a short break. I told them to keep a look out on any new eco gift shops when they are there since I haven’t been able to join them for the trip. One of the things I miss is to drive around town and check out the cool las vegas hotels. This city is full of energy and life whether it’s day or night. I enjoy the bright lights and neons, though I can’t say that they are being very earth friendly. Hopefully they are using some energy saving lights – imagine the amount of energy the city could have saved!
So back to my weekend shopping on eco friendly cleaning products, trust me, they are safer than using those strong ones with lots of chemicals and they also bring harm to the environment. Time for a switch for a safer home!
Embracing eco natural principles for the house require understanding of what is found in our household cleaning products. Do you know that most traditional household cleaning products contain a variety of potentially harmful chemicals?
In response to the growing concern about the chemicals in cleaning products and their adverse effects on our health and on the health of our planet, green cleaning products are being touted. Some companies that make green products ban certain chemicals, and others make it a point to fully disclose all ingredients on labels. Some eco friendly users believe that it is possible to have a clean home without using any cleaning products at all. Cleaning without products may take a bit more elbow grease, but water alone will do the trick.
For the environmentally conscious, one of the best cleaning tools is a cloth – some would say the ultimate cloth – that uses mirafiber to produce a streak free, spot free, lint free, and dust free finish. Using this type of cloth means that you don’t have to use paper towels, which add to the waste that negatively impacts the environment. Moreover, this ultimate cloth is usually guaranteed to last five years, making it decidedly eco natural. Because it’s washable and bleachable, it can be used over and over again on virtually any surface, from windows and glass to stainless steel to wrought iron candle sconces. Basically, you just wet it, wring it, wipe your surface, and walk away. This ultimate cloth saves time, saves money, and, most importantly, helps save the earth.
I’ve been thinking of a short beach vacation in Koh Samui in the coming weeks and if possible, I’ll like to search for an eco friendly property. I have heard much about health spas and resorts in Koh Samui and some boutique properties have focused on eco nature as the theme of their accommodation. Some of these eco boutique resorts do come with a price tag!
This vacation would need to fit our family budget since the business has slowed down significantly in the last few months due to the economic downturn. I’m also searching for affordable term life insurance for the family while making sure we are keeping our expenses low. I’m glad that I can still shop natural with organic wholesalers to continue our eco living practices during these turbulent times. Some organic shops are bringing prices down and eco friendly household products are more affordable than before. That is definitely good news for those who want to continue with building their environmentally friendly homes.
I do hope that I can find the right eco friendly hotel in Koh Samui for our short beach getaway. That would be a great time of relaxation as we bask ourselves in eco nature and the vast ocean views.
Many countries are talking about green culture and the importance of becoming more environmentally conscious. So it seems that eco furniture is the next happening thing in the world of interiors, home and office dÈcor. As such, the eco home furniture industry has begun to offer different styles from traditional designs, to quite up-to-date modern and modular furniture.
Environment friendly furniture serves two purposes: They are promoted for a good cause and specially crafted in such a manner that it has minimum negative impact on the environment. They are normally sourced from renewable resources and only few or no chemicals are used as it serves to protect the environment and use less industrial supplies. Herbal oils and polish is used to minimize the toxic levels. Many designers are also designing furniture out of recycled or recyclable materials.
Eco living ensures that we do not bring more harm to the environment and use up precious energy from Mother Nature’s resources. You can easily find great modern and traditional home designs in furniture that is unique and economical and as enticing as other furniture made from regular sources. In the past, eco furniture is considered boring and quite unexciting. But not anymore! These days, you can find many creative designers crafting fabulous pieces of furniture for the environment friendly buffs who care about their actions.
