Eco Living Starts From Living Spaces At Home
Last night, I watched a long 2-hour show on global warming and how this is affecting our eco environment. My concern for the earth grew as I watched and heard what the commentators said about the melting glaciers and diminishing sea life. This is happening so fast and will continue to worsen if we continue to do nothing to protect our earth. But before you look at the big things, how about looking at how you can improve your eco living condition?
Do you know that wrong environment at home can also have a negative force on your health. Home decor is one of the most important factors in creating a good home environment. For instance, carpets give us comfort and warmth feeling. But dust mites love to live in your carpet and the proteins from their droppings can become airborne and affect your skin and respiratory system. If you suffer from asthma or eczema it is better to use hard flooring like wooden floor.
Like wise while purchasing your sofas or chairs select a fabric (like leather) in which dust mites cannot inhabit. Cleaning the room space by regular cleaning and vacuuming the house will avoid breathing trouble related to allergy. Cigarette smoking inside the house could predispose to circumstances like asthma and bronchiolitis in children. So the next time you enjoy your Rocky Patel, make sure the air filter in the house is on too.
Eco living has to start from home and sometimes, taking a few simple steps can affect your family’s health greatly. Caring for the environment starts from caring about our home environment and living spaces. Get started now.
