Hubby is talking about buying a tent as we may be going for another camp in October. I know it will be fun but I’m not sure if I am keen on pitching a tent as it seems like lots of work to prepare and unpitch! There were some jansport backpacks on sale and that’s something I would need to pack some overnight stuff. Some friends told us that there’s often Easter sale for camping goods and thus, we will be looking out for them. I suppose we have many months to plan for the next camp and it will be another fun one.

Everytime I talk about a trip to Bali, people will be telling me about eco travels to this rainforest island. There are good reasons why so many people are choosing to go Bali for their summer vacation every year. A friend who used to work for Louisiana Jones Act in the US love to go there for relaxation and good massage. The villa service is impeccable and she loves to be treated like a royalty.

I have checked out a few nice villas but they aren’t going to be cheap. Maybe I should check out some eco villa and experience what’s it’s like to travel green.

There were a few organic skincare labels in one particular shop and I can’t wait to check it out. When I travel with a child, it’s hard to go anywhere I want. I had to work around his interests and attention span or else I’ll be too stressed with his boredom! I also noticed that the beauty and slimming market here is pretty big and there are all kinds of slimming pills in the pharmacies.

This vacation would need to fit our family budget since the business has slowed down significantly in the last few months due to the economic downturn. I’m glad that I can still shop natural with organic wholesalers to continue our eco living practices during these turbulent times. Some organic shops are bringing prices down and eco friendly household products are more affordable than before. That is definitely good news for those who want to continue with building their environmentally friendly homes.

I do hope that I can find the right eco friendly hotel in Koh Samui for our short beach getaway. That would be a great time of relaxation as we bask ourselves in eco nature and the vast ocean views.

Sometimes these luxury boutique hotels may not be appropriate if you are traveling with children. Though some are family friendly, most of them cater to business travelers and couples who are seeking for privacy, personalized service and little touches of uniqueness. For families, chain hotels or resorts such as the Westgate may be more appropriate.
