Today we have become accustomed to using leather for many aspects in life such as handbags, purses, shoes, clothing, coats, hats, jewelry, luggage, wallets, and fanny packs. It is so easy to choose what we will wear and carry with what. We have so many styles, colors, and different grades of leather to choose from. All we have to do is go online or to a mall and buy what we like. It is as easy as that.
Your ensemble may be easier to accessorize than you think. For instance, we use a certain style purse such as a clutch purse to wear with our evening wear. Trendy handbags and sporty purses will embellish your jeans and a tee. While a fanny pack or a backpack/book bag will work well on an adventurous hike or to a theme park. Or how professional would you look carrying a fine leather briefcase walking into a corporate business meeting. The way you accessorize your outfit says a lot about your personality. It’s a bit like home decorating… you would go great lengths to make it look presentable and stylishly cosy, and you would even accessorize it with a driveway alarm to make you feel secure!
Another way to accessorize your wardrobe could be with leather jewelry such as a chokers or leather necklace with a slide or beads on it. Leather jewelry is very stylish in today’s fashion world and when you think about it, it has for quite some time.
What does worrying do for us? Worry is like a dense fog that can cloud our vision and slow us down. It even knocks out our sense of proportion. When we worry about things that happened in the past, we fail to move on in life. We also worry about health, money, and other things that have yet to happen — a situation that causes us even more trouble.
Make a sensible plan on how to address those worries. For example, if your children frequently come home late at night, give your children mobile phones so that you can always keep in touch. The worrier must take action and correct situations that cause anxiety. You may be worried about your overweight situation after trying all all options and even buying the top diet pill. But you shouldn’t be sleepless over it.
The next step which is the most important step is to let go. Letting go is key to overcoming worry and all the stress that comes with it. Letting go entails having faith that …God will make things work together for good.î it does not mean that one gives up in resignation. Letting go is simply entrusting one’s work or one’s life to a higher power after one has already done the best he or she could under the circumstances. After you’ve done everything you could, there is already no point in being in anguish over life’s many details and tasks.
I was in the bookstore yesterday and spotted a few books on teaching children how to embrace green living. When it comes to eco living, it’s not just about what you do at home, but it’s about taking a look at your lifestyle on a whole.
People are talking about how we can cut down petrol usage and air pollution by driving less. It brought me to mind on how online university can actually become part of eco living. In fact, the idea of studying online is not new anymore. With our busy and demanding lifestyles, people are seeking ways to upgrade and sometimes, it is not possible to attend school physically due to work and family commitments. But online education makes it possible. Besides, with this mode of studying, it is actually eco friendly, as in you don’t need to commute at all. You can now take an online nursing degree or any other discipline and study at home. Online universities such as Western Governors has allowed many to acquire their degrees with distant learning.
Being environmentally friendly can mean a change in our lifestyle and it calls for innovation in our mindsets and the willingness to accept this change. What other ways can you think of to enjoy eco living?
Despite the slow and poor economic reports in and around the media, I see people shopping for this coming Christmas. Well, I personally think that the ones who will get hit most would be the luxury labels but boy, was I wrong! But whether you are shopping for Manolo Blahnik online for any other luxury label offline, you can be sure to expect discounts during this time as retailers try to boost their yearly sales before the close of the year.
Perhaps this is a good time for us to reflect as we play our part to being an eco friendly individual by not buying so much. If you buy, make sure you use it and don’t waste… that’s another way to help save the earth. Be eco friendly this season.
After being in Hong Kong a few days, it is good to notice that the country is promoting eco friendliness. I was shopping in a local supermarket and I could see posters in the store promoting the use of less plastics. It is good to encourage this practice as this is one way where everyone can do his or her part to save the earth!
I went shopping around town with a spring plungers friend and it was amazing to note the wide variety of designs in the stores. Hong Kong is one place where you can find many great international labels and this is a trendy following country! I haven’t been in the mood to buy too much this trip and I’m taking it easy on my pockets. Then again, I have a few more days here so it’s still too hard to tell
I haven’t been posting regularly in my blog and that’s becos I’ve been on our family vacation. I’m glad that we can least have enough computer memory this time around so that we can upload our trip photos and do some work in between.
Japan is such a great place to visit if you have time and a little money. We don’t have either but yet, we can glad that we can still enjoy in the best possible ways. I love Japanese culture and heritage and you can see that in the craft stores, the packaging, the signages, architecture and the little touches of the surrounding. Everything reflect the detailed characteristics of the Japanese and it’s beautiful. I can spend a long time in the craft and stationery shops just to admire the nice designs of the Japanese artwork. If only I have more space in my luggage, I would love to buy some fabrics home for future art projects. For now, I can only admire and enjoy the art and designs of the Japanese.
If you wanna talk again artisan beauty, japan has alot to offer. Just three days here and I can see that the japs do pay alot of attention on their grooming and beauty needs.
Honestly, I haven’t seen many overweight women around and DH was wondering if diet stuff like Fenphedra will ever make it here! The Japanese women do know alot about looking good. You can find many teenage women or young women dressing their best anytime of the day. And if you care for some creative and artistic looks, check out Harajuku on Sundays. This is the trendiest part of tokyo where the young and creative teenagers parade their costumes in display on the streets – it is fun to watch!
But artistic or not, I can be certain that the Japanese people take pride in their appearance and their culture. And I hope to learn something good from their cutlure too.
My little boy celebrated his 4th birthday last week and it was nice that he finally celebrated this nice occasion with his Thomas and friends birthday cake with his classmates.
He wanted a set of personalized baseball gloves but mommy was too too busy to get them embroidered on time. I was hoping to make him a handmade card but due to some unfortunate things that happen in the week, nothing of that got done. My artist template and stencils are still sitting on my table and I still hope to craft something for him next time. With Christmas approaching in two months’ time, it’s time to check out some eco friendly gift ideas for families and friends too. I hope to do some of these things next weekend once I’m recovered from this cold – sniff, sniff.
Parenting can be both fun and challenging for most of us. I’m sure many of us have shared both tears and laughter with our little ones and this is part and parcel of parenting joys and pains. Ironical isn’t it? Tough but rewarding.
When I first became a mom, the first and foremost item in our baby items checklist is to shop for good strollers. Since baby strollers come in all sorts of designs, features and styles, the first time parents should take time to review the different kinds. Before you know it, your baby will be needing a baby chair or high chair once semi-solids began.
If you are a mobile mom, you may even to consider a baby travel chair once the solids start. In fact, the Little Beetle Baby Travel Chair converts adult sized chairs into a safe and secure baby chair and it fits over most kitchen and casual dining chairs. I believe it’s great for traveling and visiting so that your baby has a ‘chair’ of her own during meal time. Suitable for infants/toddlers from age 6 months to 2 years.
These days, I search the web alot for new finds and cool products in the art and design circle. In fact, I just found a creative photographer for our family shots!
Whatever business you won, companies are marketing their promotional products in new ways including offering free giveaways and you will be surprised that this sort of advertising can be refreshing and rewarding! By offering customers the opportunity to sample the products, you assure their confidence and it can make your advertising worth every cent. This is what many call ‘target marketing’. I also hope that the artisan community can be more creative in their marketing and advertising methods so as to promote their talents and creativity to more.
