Since the heel injury I had few weeks ago, I haven’t been exercising much as I don’t want to disrupt the healing process. I’m thankful that I can still stretch and do some mild exercises with my balanced ball which is perfect for all situations.
My husband is a very disciplined person who works out every morning without fail, unless we are on vacation. He used his dumb bells, rebounder, pull up bars and gym stick for a series of movements. Sometimes he would nag at me for not being as consistent as he is, but he doesn’t understand that I have the household chores to keep me busy.
I hope to get on my rebounder again, once my heel is completely heal. Then I can be off to Pilates classes again after all the trips for the month of august and september.
I just got back from a very nice island vacation few days ago and I’m now easing myself back to work.
For reasons unknown to me, I had a swollen ankle on the first day of my trip and that was certainly not good at all. Before that, I was still talking about going for a massage and spa. I took a look at the spa treatment room in the resort and saw a few massage tables set in a rainforest setting. It was nice but I couldn’t go for it due to the pain in my ankle.
Massage is such a good therapy and it also helps to promote blood circulation too. I can’t wait for a good rub on my back and neck after the few days of travel. It will be such a relief for those sore muscles!

There are many ways to relieve stress – from taking a vacation to learning how to manage it well. One stress technique would be to practice deep and heavy breathing. The body is relaxed by breathing slowly for a count of seven, then breathing out for a count of eleven. Repeat this count until heart rate slows down. Thinking about stressful situations, or having ìwhat ifî thoughts could break one’s relaxation and give them stress. Avoid such thoughts and think of what can be to prevent such stress. As they say, prevention is better than cure. Unfortunately, there isn’t much oral help to deal with stress but you may need to step up your antioxidants to stay healthy. After a two weeks’ of traveling, I’m finally getting back to my routine this week. I’m having much pain in my back and neck and hope to find myself a myofascial release therapist.

The best way to lose the extra calories is always through good exercise. I was so lethargic today but after the Pilates class, I felt alot better.
Sometimes all I need is to sweat it out and I can feel alive again. After Pilates, I headed to my favourite cafe for a good brunch before going home. I suppose Pilates is the best natural fat burner for me though I haven’t had much fats to lose! Brunch at the Bread Shop is good but I had to resist those yummy and sweet danish. Doing simple exercises like jumping on a trampoline or walking are also good ways to stay fit and keep active. When your body feels good, you find yourself feeling more uplifted and motivated mentally and emotionally.

What do you do when you lie on the bed for an hour and still can’t get to sleep? For reasons unknown to me, I had trouble sleeping few nights ago. I know that I am sensitive to caffeine when taken in the evening but I didn’t have any coffee or tea that day.
Some people would pick up a book and read when they can’t sleep while others will continue to lie on the bed no matter how long it takes. One of the effective ways to overcome a sleepless night is to put on a soothing piece of music. A calm and settled mind can be helpful to a good night’s rest. Many people make the mistake of getting back into an exercise program and going all enthusiastic at trying to get back in shape in just one hour, well let me tell you this will not work. The only thing this will do is make you very sore the next day and you will not be able to workout that day, and it will make you lose interest fast in the gym. Discomfort in ok pain is not.
Depending on how long it has been since you last worked out, I recommend working out 4 or 5 days a week. If possible, get a fitness trainer to guide you through a slimming program if you haven’t exercise for a long time. Adding cheap adipex into your diet may not be suffice. So you will have to head to the gym.
Working out 5 days a week does not necessarily mean you have to go to the gym every day. I recommend the gym 3 times a week and the other day or 2 you can just go for a long fast paced walk around your neighborhood. Try to vary the things you do so that you do not work out the same parts of your body 2 days in a row.
