It seems to natural to just click on the computer and buy what I need these days. I hardly go to the stores except for weekends, where we do some real grocery shopping. Other than that, shopping online has become a weekly affair and I’m saving heaps from there.
Friends were telling me that even their kids buy things online. They shop for hjc helmets, sports equipment and fashion attire. It’s just so acceptable in today’s culture, really. So what is it that we haven’t bought online. For us, it has to be bulky electronics cos they are too expensive and inconvenient. For warranty and support purpose, I would rather buy these things from the local store!
Yesterday, I had a busy afternoon settling all the outstanding errands on my desk.
I was going to file all my insurance claims but somehow, these paper work isn’t my strength at all. I had to get a rv insurance quote and I’m glad I could do it easily with the internet. It saves me much time from making phone calls which can be time consuming. With this flexibility, I can do things faster and use my spare time to read my favourite cook books!
Both hubby and myself share different responsibilities at home.
Just the other day, I was annoyed when my hubby had not changed the ink cartridges after so long. I had told him to buy the right laser ink cartridges but he’s been procrastinating and brought back some refills. I was upset that he had not bought the originals as refills could be messy and unreliable. True enough, after two uses, the ink was smearing and the print outs were bad. He had to then purchase new inks. Sometimes I just wish that men can be less stubborn and wiser in these little things. They call this ‘Penny Wise Pound Foolish’.
Sometimes I don’t understand how some people can sit around and do nothing all their lives.
I know of many people with skills and talents but they would rather stay at home and not find a job. With the current technology advancement, people can seek all sorts of work, including Cardiovascular Technologist Jobs online and it’s so convenient compared to before. Searching for jobs online has allowed more job opportunities for people who live in remote parts of town and technology allows them to find the work they like.
It’s been a really long time since I went to the movies with my son. So last week, I took him to watch The Smurfs and he was so excited.
Though it wasn’t a good movie, it was nice spending some quality time together and we had fun laughing and talking about the various smurf characters after the show. It was certainly a nice and enjoyable outing and I hope to do it again in the near future. Maybe one day, we should consider a 5.1 home theatre system when we have our own property. It is my dream to build our own property in the suburb we now lived it. That would be really nice as I could also have my own vege patch by then! I hope I don’t have to wait that long!
It’s been a very busy week as we have guests from Asia and I have to make adjustments during the week.
I don’t mind having friends around but I do miss my space and realize that I am not so good entertaining guests for a whole week. There are nights where we sit around the table for wine and they will be discussing about austin food allergy testing. It seems like a whole new knowledge for me.
Next week onwards, I plan to go on a diet and binge on a vegetable and fruit diet. I look forward to it.
Communication in the 21st century has been transformed as we embrace new technology introductions.
Gone were the days where we carry bulky phones as it’s all about lightweight and convenience. Then comes the hip and trendy who go for phones that impress. With online technology, it’s easy to buy mobile phone accessories in the internet. Sometimes you wonder where can I buy samsung phone batteries online and all you have to do is to do a search and you find a whole list of online retailers. It’s that convenient. REally. After all, you want to get a good deal and online stores present many options to save!
The football season has ended for my son and we have also decided to put him in taekwondo classes.
Last week, they have an Awards day and the kids were so excited with their new trophies as this is a symbol of achievement for them. The football season has been very nice for them as they acquire new skills and make new friends along the way. This has been rewarding and I’m sure he has had fun in that last few months.
For now, it’s back to school and learning some new kicks in taekwondo classes.
Lately, I discovered a new passion. I’m developing my interest in baking and it’s just getting so addictive!
Friends often ask me who eats all the things I bake. I told them my family does and they find it hard to believe. They wonder why we can eat and eat and still not need weight loss pills and sometimes, I find it amazing too! I suppose the exercise and moderation has helped us to keep our weight in check. What we don’t want is to put on too much weight cos when it happens, it will put a stop to my baking frenzy!
For a very long time, I have been thinking about learning how to horse ride but somehow my busy schedule has been a huge hindrance.
School holidays for my boy is only 2 weeks away and I am thinking of taking him for a pony ride, just so that he can experience what is it like to be on a horse. I always like to buy a set of equestrian clothing when I can horse ride well one day and I hope that the day is coming soon. I have a pair of horse riding boots and all I need is a nice pair of pants and a helmet to go with it. Not sure if hubby is keen. If he is, it would be fun doing this as a family.
